Five patients with acute allergic bronchopulmonary Aspergillus infection and 1 in a chronic stage of the disease are described. Acute manifestations of the disease are outlined, viz. the fleeting shadows with eosinophilia in asthmatics with a positive immediate allergic reaction to an A. extract together with precipitins and an increase in total and specific IgE. Changes in the chronic stage are also described.
