Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection in some patients with acute respiratory illnesses

Throat swabs (206) and sera (47) from 206 patients with respiratory illnesses were examined for isolation of M. pneumoniae and indirect hemagglutinating (IHA) antibodies, respectively. Six isolates of M. pneumoniae were recovered and 39 sera showed IHA antibodies against it.
