The MNR strain (haplotype AgB 13) has previously been reported to be a naturally occurring recombinant, having the AgB-A region of haplotype AgB4 and the AgB-B of haplotype AgB5. Evidence was obtained from serological studies with MNR cells, and from published work, that the AgB-A region includes 2 loci, and that the MNR haplotype is a double recombinant, only 1 of its 2 AgB-A loci being derived from the AgB4 haplotype.
