A 55-yr-old male with hypophosphatemic vitamin D-resistant rickets presented with long-standing back pain and paresthesia in both legs considered to be due to osteoid encroachment on an already narrow spinal canal. Marked symptomatic improvement followed extensive lumbar laminectomy.
