Pseudoxanthoma elasticum in children

Observations of 5 children (4 boys and 1 girl) aged 3-12 yr suffering from elastic pseudoxanthoma confirmed by histological examinations are presented. Four children had angioid bands in the eye fundus area. To prevent progressive sight loss, early vocational guidance is recommended to avoid choice of occupations associated with intensive use of eyesight.
