An epidemic of foot mycosis in a students' hostel

Study of the feet of 23 men and 2 women revealed 15 cases of Trichophyton mentagrophytes infection, 9 of T. rubrum, 12 of Candida (C. albicans and C. parapsilosis), 10 yeast-like fungi (including Torulopsis and Trichosporon) and 15 moulds (frequently Aspergillus). These fungi were also found in common sanitary facilities.
