In this review the mode of infection of crustaceans (through the mouth or the skin), the classes of fungi involved (phycomycetes and Fungi Imperfecti) the organs and tissues invaded, toxin production and the implications of fungal infection to the economics of aquaculture for the commercial production of crustaceans are discussed.
