Localized crusting as an artefact

Patients (4) were reported, 2 with gross crusting of the nose and 2 with gross crusting of the lips considered to be artefacts. The crusting was easily removed using soft paraffin or Viscopaste. Psychiatric symptoms of each patient were discussed.
