Prevalence of chloroquine resistance in malaria

Of 41 cases of Plasmodium falciparum followed for 4 weeks in a service hospital in India, 73.2% were sensitive to chloroquine and 26.8% resistant at the RI level. Of 90 cases given radical treatment, 17.7% showed relapse within 4 weeks.
