The basic hemodynamic indices: cardiac volume, volume of circulating plasma and blood, total peripheral vascular resistance and velolity of blood flow were studied in 60 patients with myocardial infarction, subacute stage in progress, prior to and post veloergometric loading. A decreased tolerance to physical loading was established: cardiac index--insignificantly increased, beat volume-decreased, volume of circulating plasma and blood--tendency to increase. The results show a dependence on the clinical development of the disease--the signs of a latent insufficiency being manifested in the cases with extensive localization of the infarction, transmural affection and with a formed aneurisma after a dosed loading.
