In the laboratory of the Animal Health Service of the province of Overijssel, a diagnosis of poisoning was established in 100 cats during a period of over five years. Thallium was the commonest cause (57%). Strychnine was found quite frequently (28%), while parathion poisoning was diagnosed occasionally (7%). Other toxic agents were of minor importance.
