The basic rheoencephalographic [REG] parameters reflecting the changes in the intensity of blood filling and elastotopic state of the brain vessels during topical and total REG were compared. The following indexes of REG waves were used: blood filling intensity (J) and the coefficient of asymmetry of blood filling intensity (Kas), tonus (.alpha.) and state of vessels elasticity (S). Comparative studies of REG parameters reflecting regional and total changes in cerebral hemodynamics in patients with brain circulatory disorders demonstrated the expediency of topical REG application for the diagnosis of these disorders.
