Five 1st-stage-larvae removed by soft and pointed blotting-paper from the left eye of a woman were identified as O. ovis. This is the 1st true case of ophthalmomyiasis due to sheep nasal bot fly in Iran. Reports indicate that ophthalmomyiasis is more frequent in Iranian villages with different degree of severity. Preventive and therapeutic methods are discussed.
