The complications and results of 20 traumatic lens opacities in man were evaluated 3 yr after definitive surgery was performed. Surgical removal of the opacified lens after adequate evaluation, including electroretinographic and ultrasonic studies, seemed to allow the best opportunity for a return of useful vision and binocularity following an ocular insult.
