Ten cases of hydatid cyst (Echinococcus granulosus) in the human kidney are described from Morocco. The left kidney was involved in 8 cases, the right in 2. X-rays showed a large renal mass. Pericystic calcifications were seen in 7 cases. In 3 the kidney was not functioning. No communication between the cyst and the excretory channels could be seen in 2 cases, even though it was demonstrated anatomically. The mass was always avascular.
