For most warehouse employees, the workday starts before the sun does. While millions of Americans are sipping their morning coffee and reading the newspaper, facility managers are wearing holes in their work boots. They pace around the warehouse, ensuring daily shipments reach their destinations on time. That's not the only thing facility managers should be pacing about, however. They have a whole fleet of forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, and other warehouse machinery to keep their eyes on. If completing the daily tasks and maintaining schedules aren't already enough to fill a manager's plate, toss in ensuring the safety and productivity of their entire warehouse fleet.
