Subendocardial cyst of the myocardium

A small cyst lined with columnar ciliated epithelium was found under the endocarcium of the posterior wall of the left heart ventricle in a male aged 65 years. According to literary data, such cysts most probably originate from aberrant cell material descending from the primitive gut.
