Adults dogs (15) fasted overnight were used under Ketalar anesthesia. There were 3 groups of animals: vagotomized, splanchnicotomized and transected extrinsic nerves. The intragastric pressure was measured by balloon-strain gauge method. The intragastric pressure was elevated by filling with 200 ml of Ringer's solution. The intragastric pressure at the initial period of gastric fullness and the average intragastric pressure during 2 min after Ringer's solution in the 3 groups were at a higher level than the control dogs at every time after surgery and every stage of gastric fullness. The amplitude of the peristaltic movements was greater after operation and at every stage of gastric fullness than the control.
