Of 100 healthy men 15 to 45 years old in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, 36 were of blood group O, 25 of A, 29 of B and 10 AB. Serum cholesterol for the 4 groups was 3.27, 5.00, 2.58 and 3.00 mu mol/ml. Serum cholesterol increased with age from 2.20 mu mol/ml for those 15 to 25 years old to 4.70 mu mol/ml for the oldest group.
