The emergence of accumulation of complex heparin compounds in the heart and blood vessel walls upon stimulation of the anticoagulative system were analyzed in rats. Total and nonenzymatic fibrinolytic activity of different blood vessel segments, [35S]- heparin radioactivity in the myocardium and atria and the distribution of [35S]-heparin in plasma, euglobin fractions and complex heparin compounds in plasma in vivo were analyzed several minutes after thrombin injections. Use of [35S]-heparin under different conditions leading to stimulation of the anticoagulative system of the blood and cardiovascular system led to a surplus of complex heparin compounds, having anticoagulative and nonenzymatic fibrinolytic activity, lysing unstable fibrin in the presence and absence of .epsilon.-aminocaproic acid.
