The surgical technique described involves drilling both femur and tibia, to allow placement of a fascial strip in the area of the attachments of the original anterior cruciate ligament. The results of 114 operations performed on 101 dogs were excellent in 58 dogs, good in 28 and poor in 3. The remaining 12 could not be traced.
