Chondrosarcoma of the larynx of unusual size

Chondrosarcoma of the human skeleton, particularly of the larynx, constitutes an exceptionally rare tumor. Only a few individual cases of chondrosarcoma of the larynx which arose from malignant change of preexisting chondroma was cited in the international literature. A case of chondrosarcoma of the larynx of unusual size, which arose from malignant change of a preexisting chondroma was reported. Radical removal of these tumors by total laryngectomy constitutes the treatment of choice.
