The paper concerns the modern approach to a processes of transformation of enzymes. This term denotes the reversible qualitative alteration of the catalytic properties of enzymes elicited by treatment with various reagents. The molecular mechanisms and the biological significance of enzyme transformations are of great theoretical and practical interest potentially because examples of it were observed in higher animals, including humans, under pathological conditions.
