LiF (TLD-100) dosimeters may be used successfully to monitor the doses to extremities such as finger-tips of the persons carrying out radioactive work. Such a study may be helpful in assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of health physics precautions taken during various operations in a radioisotope laboratory, and in evaluating the need for and the feasibility of reducing the radiation exposures of personnel.
