Present achievements and future expansion of studies on mechanical properties of otolith membranes in onto-and phylogeneses, on the characteristics of the stimulators of vestibular reactions under natural condition and in different transportation systems (land, water and air transportation and spacecraft), particularly in connection with human space flights, and in specifying the interaction of vestibular and eye-moving systems in the stabilization of optic fixation, are reviewed.
