Treatment of heated PMMA in a constant magnetic field brings about the appearance of a peculiar electric state with the surface density of charges .sigma. of the order of 10-10 C/cm2 depending on the intensity of the magnetic field. The magnetic susceptibility of PMMA specimens treated in a magnetic field decreases and depends on the intensity. The initiation of charges on PMMA specimens and the change of their magnetic susceptibility may explain some peculiarities of the mechanism of the effect of magnetic fields on biological objects.
