It is to be noted with no little concern that under the strain of present day living conditions- high pressure, lack of attention to exercise on the one hand or over-exertion on the other, resort to intermittent, inadequate, improperly balanced diets alternating with over eating- there is an increasing tendency toward constipation which in many cases is resistant to treatment. Experience has shown that many of the obstinate cases of constipation respond when manipulative treatment is instituted. A typical case is here presented together with a description of the manipulative technics employed to correct a recalcitrant condition.
