The pathogenesis of closed heart trauma induced in 95 white rats was examined. The primary moment of closed heart trauma may be the disruption of the electrical processes in the myocardium resulting from damage to the structure of muscle cells. The number of specific aspects of closed heart trauma suggest that it could comprise an independent disease entity separate from myocardial injury of any other etiology.
