Microbial contamination of the air by bedding and clothing is an important problem, particularly in hospitals, medical supply and pharmaceutical industries. Literature on different aspects of this problem is reviewed, including methods of determining contamination levels, the effect of humidity and the type of cloth on contamination levels, and methods of disinfection.
