Incidence of intestinal parasites in children of different socio-economic population of Dacca city

Examination of faeces of 1,500 children in Dacca, Bangladesh, showed 65.8% to be infected with parasites. Ascaris was found in 55.5%, Trichuris in 19.8% and hookworm in 15.3%. There was a close correlation between the incidence of parasites and the standard of housing.
