Direct blood substitution in burn shock

During burn shock direct blood replacement was applied which led to improvement of blood indices, rheological properties, peripheral and central hemodynamics and cardiac function. Kidney urinary secretion was restored in all patients with anuria of 6-20 h duration. None of the burned patients died during the burn shock.
