A linkage study of pure depressive disease: the use of the sib-pair method

Various genetic markers (MNSs, Rh, ABO, Kell, Duff, Kidd, etc.) were used to study linkage between them and pure depressive disease. Linkage would prove a genetic factor in the disease etiology. No true linkage was found; however, the sib-pair and lod score methods of linkage detection appear promising. No sex-linkage was evident.
