Selective adrenal venography in the investigation of primary aldosteronism

Three cases of primary aldosteronism due to adenomas of the adrenal cortex were presented. The merits and hazards of adrenal vein sampling and venography were discussed. Venography demonstrated small space occupying lesions in the left adrenal gland, and hormone assays of adrenal venous blood confirmed the diagnosis. Left adrenalectomy was performed in each patient.
