Patients [24] with infertility caused by luteal phase deficiency were treated with thyroid hormones or placebos. The incidence of pregnancy in the group taking thyroid hormone was much higher, which suggests that a course of thyroid hormone should be administered before a more aggressive therapy with chorionic gonadotropins or Clomid is given. The success rate of this therapy is as favorable as any other.
