Sarcoidosis is a chronic, multisystem, granulomatous disease that has various cutaneous manifestations. Chronic cutaneous sarcoidosis can be difficult to manage. Patients often need systemic corticosteroids as well as other immunosuppressive agents, which may be associated with side effects and long-term complications. We report a 43-year-old patient with chronic progressive cutaneous sarcoidosis unsuccessfully treated with systemic steroid and immunosupressive agents whose cutaneous lesions responded significantly to etanercept as monotherapy.
