At the 16-18th stages of development of the chicken embryos adhesion of cell layers of the adenohypophysis and diencephalon anlages is provided with a submicroscopically regulated complex of neutral and acid polysaccharides, bivalent kations and probably proteins. The mechanisms of cells contact in each of the layers with this complex are different.
