Obstructed labor due to pelvic echinococcal cysts

Two case reports of abdominal echinococcal cysts are of interest because their presence in the pelvis caused difficulties in pregnancy or labor and necessitated cesarean section. In 1 patient the pelvic cyst followed the i.p. rupture of a primary cyst in the liver. The 2nd case is probably an example of a primary pelvic cyst.
