A portable personal measuring instrument is described which enables gaseous reducing substances to be measured by means of a novel type of semiconductor gas detector. The measured values are telemetered to and continuously recorded at a receiving station. In areas with many buildings, the distance between the test person and receiving equipment may be as much as 150 m. The equipment was field and laboratory tested in formaldehyde content measurements.
