Toxoplasma abortions in sheep in Switzerland

A description is given of 15 cases of abortion or neonatal death caused by Toxoplasma gondii from 12 sheep in Switzerland. 11 were born dead and 4 died within 5 days. T. gondii was demonstrated in 13 bodies of which 12 showed lesions in the central nervous system and one had skeleto-muscular degeneration. The remaining 2 cases had diffuse gliosis.
