Female rats were treated as in the previous abstract. Tests for acquisition of active avoidance were made between 240 and 260 days of age. The total number of correct reactions during discriminative training was insignificantly less in the LP group and significantly less in the LC group than in ND rats; the effect of CPO was negligible but with PEA the number of correct reactions rose to normal in LC rats. An analysis of learning curves showed that all experimental groups, with the exception of the ND-PEA and LC-PEA groups, had a significantly poorer score in the initial phase of discriminative training than the controls.
