in this assessment of the resurgence of malaria and its control, which was presented at the Ninth International Congress on Tropical Medicine and Malaria held at Athens in October 1973, the progress of eradication programmes in various countries of Asia and the Americas is reviewed with particular reference to the increased incidence over the past ten years and the various reasons for it, and in conclusion the prospects of achieving malaria eradication are discussed.
