Pathogenesis of chronic nonspecific pneumonia in children

A total of 396 observations on children suffering from various chronic diseases of the lungs were analyzed with the help of complex clinico-roentgeno-functional and morphological methods. Five main forms of chronic non-specific pneumonia in children were identified: chronic deforming bronchitis (without obstruction), obstructive-sclerotic chronic pneumonia, chronic atelectasis of the lungs, chronic suppurative destruction and congenital defects of the lungs. Three lines of pathogenesis of the disease were determined: bronchogenic, pneumonogenic and dysontogenetic (congenital).
