58 cases of bundle-branch block (bundle of His) were encountered among 1600 cardiovascular patients. The death rate was higher for left than for right bundle-branch block, although the latter occurred more frequently. Arteriosclerosis was the most important etiological factor (60%), with hypertension next (27%).
