The splenic circulation was studied by injection of dog spleens with trypan blue soln. Human splenic blood vessels were studied in corrosion specimens obtained by perfusion of human spleens, injection with celloidin and immersion in HC1. The results showed that the arteries of the spleen are terminal. They do not anastomose. The capillaries in the arterial system of the spleen terminate in the meshwork of the parenchyma, and not in the sinuses or in the veins. The ellipsoids are around the vascular channels and are not connected to the lumina of the capillaries. The veins are connected to the splenic sinuses.
