Nephrological problems in patients with diabetes

Kidney and urinary tract diseases are common disorders among patients with diabetes mellitus. Most important is diabetic kidney disease, the leading cause of end- stage renal failure. Among the other problems frequently encountered by a physician are urinary tract infections and asymptomatic bacteriuria. In this paper these clinical issues have been shortly reviewed.
