Improving wellbeing with cardiac rehabilitation

There is clear evidence that cardiac rehabilitation can improve the health of patients with cardiovascular disease, yet fewer than 50% of patients access these programmes. Increasing uptake will require multi-agency and multiprofessional collaboration to identify and refer suitable patients, while programmes must be structured to meet individual needs to ensure adherence and good outcomes.
