Four beagles given 0.03-0.12 mg 14C-methyl- gamma -amanitin/kg body wt. became very ill but all but the most heavily poisoned recovered. The passage of the poison was followed radiographically; after 6h, 85% of the dose had been eliminated in the urine in all 4 animals. The authors conclude that natural dialysis by the kidneys is more effective than haemodialysis.
