A disaster resulting in a temporary cessation of your practice operations does not have to mean a permanent shut down of your practice if you are ready to meet possible interruption. With a plan in place and proper insurance coverage, a major or minor disaster can be met and overcome, and you can continue seeing your patients. It is important to review while an emergency--such as Hurricane Irene--is still fresh in your mind what happened and what needs to be done to strengthen your practice for the next time.
