Most doctors' medical school training does not differentiate history taking between men and women. As a result, many physicians communicate with both sexes exactly the same. However, there are unique aspects of care, making it important to understand the differences between men and women and to take these differences into consideration when taking a medical history from a woman. This article will review those unique differences and provide you with suggestions for enhancing your communication with women.
