Returns were received from seventeen veterinary surgeons and covered 424 cases of which 361 showed complete recovery after treatment with doses of spectomycin varying from 5 to 20 mg/lb (11-45 mg/kg; according to disease severity). A high success rate was obtained in pigs with coliform infections where 159 out of 160 treated recovered. The poorest results were reported in a group of 33 yarded calves with acute respiratory disease associated with Pasteurella.
